The idea behind the Concert for Europe, an event organised by the Berlin Philharmonic since 1991, is to take over places steeped in history and culture. This year, the German phalanx travels to Tsinandali in Georgia, at the crossroads of East and West. Lisa Batiashvili plays Brahms's Violin Concerto and the orchestra is conducted by Daniel Harding.The second half features Beethoven's Symphony No. 5.
